The jury assessed both compensatory and punitive damages against MTL and Miyagi in favor of Calleon on his claims of breach of an implied employment contract, defamation, and intentional and/or negligent infliction of emotional distress. The court also assessed prejudgment interest against MTL and Miyagi.
